The Iranian president Ebrahim Raisi's death due to helicopter crash near AZERBAIJAN border 

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi tragically passed away in a helicopter crash in mountainous terrain near the Azerbaijan border. The crash occurred as President Raisi was returning to Tehran after inaugurating a new dam on the border between Iran and Azerbaijan. The helicopter was forced to crash or make a hard landing in an isolated forested area due to bad weather conditions, including heavy fog. Unfortunately, everyone on board, including President Raisi, the Foreign Minister, the Governor of East Azerbaijan, bodyguards, security detail, and the pilot, lost their lives in the crash

Mourning in Pakistan and India 

Following President Raisi's death, a day of mourning was observed in Pakistan and India to express solidarity with Iran. National flags were flown at half-mast, and special Cabinet meetings were held to pay homage to President Raisi's active role in regional diplomacy. The unexpected death of President Raisi, a conservative hard-liner, sparked mixed reactions, with some expressing relief and others fearing a succession crisis amid heightened tensions. The Iranian government announced five days of mourning and encouraged the public to attend mourning sessions.

The funeral ceremony for President Raisi 

The funeral ceremony for President Raisi was held at Tehran University, presided over by Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The caskets of the deceased, draped in Iranian flags and adorned with their portraits, were placed before the gathered crowd. The mourners carried the coffins outside, chanting slogans, and a procession was held through downtown Tehran to Azadi Square. The unexpected loss of President Raisi, a potential successor to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, raised questions about the succession process in Iran

Cause of helicopter crash 

The helicopter crash that tragically took the life of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, along with other officials, was suspected to be caused by adverse weather conditions, specifically heavy fog. The crash occurred near Iran's northern border with Azerbaijan as the helicopter was returning from an event inaugurating a joint dam project. The fog and rugged terrain in the remote area where the crash happened hindered search operations, leading to the unfortunate loss of all eight individuals on board. ABC News contributor Col. Steve Ganyard, a former fighter pilot and State Department official, analyzed the crash and highlighted the challenges faced by helicopter pilots in mountainous terrain with low visibility, where there is a natural tendency to descend to avoid fog or clouds, potentially leading to tragic outcomes.

Pakistan lunar mission all set on Frida

  According to the IST, the satellite ICUBE-Q has been designed and developed by IST in collaboration with China’s Shanghai University SJTU and Pakistan’s national space agency SUPARCO. ICUBE-Q orbiter carries two optical cameras to image the lunar surface. Following successful qualification and testing, ICUBE-Q has now been integrated with the Chang’e6 mission.
